LOCKDOWN DIY BOOM SAW SALES OF PAINT, WALLPAPER AND PLANTS SOAR
Amid the lockdown, the DIY boom occurred, which resulted in an increase in sales for paints, wallpapers, plants, and composts.
According to a report by Kingfisher, the owner of B&Q and Screwfix on Wednesday, there has been a 21.6 percent increase for overall like-for-like sales in the three months to 18 July.
It was also reported that there has also been a 25.9 percent surge in sales across both the UK and Ireland, and 33 percent in France, where it trades under the names Castorama and Brico Depot.
